Departing Paraparaumu Beach in the morning we drop you at Rangatira Point, located in the middle of Kapiti Island. You’ll have the chance to climb the island’s highest peak or enjoy the lower tracks through old established forest after an introductory talk from one of our experienced nature guides.

Wake up to the fabulous sunrise over the bay and enjoy a cooked breakfast with tea and coffee before setting off to explore the north end of Kapiti Island. The tracks offer options for a 2-hour coastal walk, or a 2.5-hour hill loop to enjoy the amazing views of the rugged northern coastline.

Highlight of My Trip

One of the best experiences here in NZ. Pania was very knowledgeable and hospitable, the accommodation was comfortable, the island peaceful, the food more delicious than expected, and most importantly, we managed to see a Kiwi bird!!!

A great overnight experience

Other than rough boat trips (due to strong winds), a great experience that we would highly recommend to others.

Special place with caring stewards

Amazing island and an incredible 2 days. You are not staying for the modest accommodations -- you are fortunate to visit this special place. The hosts are a friendly, caring family and responsible stewards. The food was excellent and exceeded our expectations for our dietary requests (vegan).
