Enjoy two world-class exhibitions; Knights of the Sky and Dangerous Skies with this combo entry!
Discover stories of WWI & WWII in these stunning exhibitions at Omaka Aviation Heritage Centre.
The Knights of the Sky exhibition features Sir Peter Jackson’s own collection of World War I aircrafts and artifacts and brings to life the story of aviation in the Great War. The sensational sets were created by the internationally acclaimed talent of WingNut Films and Weta Workshop.
The second exhibition, Dangerous Skies, features stories from World War II, with tales of daring, valour and tragedy stretching from the British Isles to the forests of Germany, an embattled but courageous Russia and the Pacific Islands. One of the star attractions is a Griffon powered Mk.XIVe Spitfire.
The exhibition features stories of female pilots and the Battle of Stalingrad is an immersive experience that is both entertaining and chillingly thought provoking.
Explore these unique exhibitions, perfect for the whole family!

Thank you, Tracey. It is great to hear that you enjoyed your visit to the museum and appreciate you taking the time to post a review.
Amazing
Thank you for visiting, Annemarie!
Just do it it's amazing
The exhibits and information were very impressive. However, for $100/person not worth it. We bought discounted tickets online which made it more palatable. But at $100 per adult it is price gauging.
Kia ora, Paulette, It is great to hear that you enjoyed the museum. However, the museum does NOT cost $100 per person. Prices for an adult start at $25 through to a maximum of $49 depending upon what exhibition/s you decide to see. Our prices are clearly displayed on the website and at the counter. We would be interested to hear which website you are referring to. In the meantime our rates can be found here: https://www.omaka.org.nz/admission Regards Omaka AHC
Can't recommend highly enough. Amazing! Allow plenty of time. We were there 4 hours! Time just flew.
Thank you, Tina!

Excellent experience!
Awesome exhibits & information, presented in an interesting & engaging way. Peter Jackson & his workers are amazing, creating wonderful life like scenes that present the war stories in such a memorable manner. Will be visiting again as there is so much to learn. Great cafe with plenty of outdoor seating in a lovely setting.
